"Couples Counseling"
Macabre, vial, with an uncomfortable atmosphere "Couples Counseling" manages to fully grasp the medium and strikes a brilliant chord with the viewer. The 7-8 foot scale of the piece is equally impressive.=]

"Needle and Thread"
Minimalist and delicate, this photo manages to guide the eye through an incredibly simple subject matter. The sharpness and pleasing color composition makes for an interesting work.

"Jake"
I'm hooked on traditional media. Something has to be said for preserving the austerity of the classic pencil, while rendering the subject in a photo realist manner is evidence of a trained hand. This work has an illustrative quality, and maintains a level of control.

"Together we shall sparkle"
Like the title, the photo is just that ambiguous. I enjoy the work because of the harsh colors, the downward movement, and sharpness of the macro shot. I love the piece mainly because it's not trying to be "droplets on some grass", but allows the viewer to interpret it freely.

"The Beauty Of War"
Not going to lie, I suck at graphic design. It is not my forte, but I appreciate those who can work their heads around it. "The Beauty Of War " is full of clean lines and interesting patterns. The shapes are abstract at first, but a closer look will prove otherwise. The artist plays with the viewers knowledge of the stereotypical, nuclear cloud that we all fear, yet find strangely attractive.
Work is displayed in no particular order.
Submissions for the June features will be up on May 29th!
